Twin Fin is a social surf club based in Lisbon, Portugal. We connect surfers with compatible surf buddies through a monthly email matching service. Our contact email is hello@twinfinsocial.com.

What Data We Collect

When you join Twin Fin, we collect the following information:

First name and last name

Email address

Date of birth

WhatsApp number (optional)

Surf preferences: level, spots, frequency, availability, goals, and board style

Gender identity (optional)

Gender match preference

Why We Collect It

Your data is used solely to match you with a compatible surf buddy. We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with any third party other than your matched member.

What We Share With Your Match

When we introduce you to a surf buddy, we share your first name and email address with them, and theirs with you. No other personal data is shared without your explicit consent.

Legal Basis for Processing

We process your data on the basis of your explicit consent, given via the sign-up form. You may withdraw this consent at any time by contacting us at hello@twinfinsocial.com.

How Long We Keep Your Data

We keep your data for as long as your membership is active. If you pause or cancel, we retain your data for 90 days in case you wish to reactivate, then delete it permanently. You can request immediate deletion at any time.

Data Storage

Your data is stored in Airtable. Airtable Inc. is a US-based company. We have a Data Processing Agreement in place with Airtable to ensure your data is handled in accordance with GDPR requirements. Email delivery is handled by MailerLite, with whom we also maintain a Data Processing Agreement.

Our website may use basic analytics cookies to understand visitor behaviour. No personal data is collected via cookies without your consent.
